Those coaches that are members of Athletes Advance are ACTIVELY searching the Athletes Advance database for athletes that meet their own specific criteria. Services that send out your personal profile via email attachments and bulk mailings to coaches do not guarantee that a student-athletes’ profile
is ever seen by a college coach. Athletes Advance puts the power of search agents into the hands of coaches and allows them to search for talent on their own terms and contact the recruits that match their program. In turn, the members of our service can be guaranteed that their profile is being viewed by college coaches and not being thrown into the circular file along with the hundreds of other profiles that were sent along with it.
HOW DOES ATHLETES ADVANCE WORK?
Using the latest in internet technologies, Athletes Advance has created an online platform for collegiate coaches and recruiters to find and connect with high school student-athletes that match their specific needs. Using search agents, a college coach has the ability to set their own specific academic and athletic criteria and view or be alerted of a student-athlete that meets or exceeds that criterion in the Athletes Advance database.
By bringing together high school student-athletes, high school coaches, and collegiate coaches, Athletes Advance intends to create an online community gives every athlete the chance to be recruited, regardless of geographic location or school size.
Who are we?
Athletes Advance was founded in 2002 in Boston, MA. by a group of former high school and collegiate athletes that believed there simply must be a better way for Division II and III-bound athletes to gain exposure and catch the eye of respective college coaches and recruiters.
Drawing upon their own experiences and familiarity with the world of college recruiting, the Athletes Advance Team spent a great deal of time researching the college recruiting process.
The Athletes Advance team spent just as much time observing the shortcomings and faults of similar services as they did in creating a tool that truly delivers tangible value and quantifiable results to their members.
The founders of Athletes Advance feel that
innovation coupled with integrity and dedication is the only
way to deliver our members a quality service that they would
have found useful in their own college searches.
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?
Recently, many
recruiting services have come under scrutiny for charging student-athletes
a membership fee and, in return, providing them little to nothing.
Many of these allegations are for good reason. Athletes Advance
realizes it would be easy to associate our service with many
of the other services who have a track record of promising exposure
to student-athletes but seldom deliver on those promises. However,
before Athletes Advance was even created, we understood the adversity
we would face in entering this area. Our goal from day one was
to prove that, if done correctly, an online recruiting service
can truly be beneficial to our student-athletes.
What Athletes Advance has done that no other service has done
is created two clear lines of communication between college coach
and student-athlete. To simply tell a student-athlete that his/her
profile will be mailed or faxed to hundreds of college coaches
is simply not enough. In researching this, we found out early
that college coaches simply do not read such bulk packages or
email attachments. We spent over a year talking with college
coaches and Athletic Directors so that we could learn to create
something coaches would actually find useful. In the end, we
strongly believe we have accomplished that.
By giving college coaches the power to search the student-athlete
database according to their own specific criteria, Athletes Advance
aims to let coaches find the student-athlete that fits their
program according to scholastic, athletic, and personal information.
While student-athletes use our Stat Tracking feature to maintain
their season statistics online, college coaches can chart the
progress of selected athletes and contact them through the site
to learn more.
Athletes Advance is intended to be an online stat tracking and
athletic community that acts as a conduit between college coach
and student-athlete. It is meant to bridge geographic barriers
that typically prevent a quality athlete from getting the recognition
he/she deserves because they come from a small school that seldom
elicits the same attention of a larger school.
In closing, we understand if people are skeptical about Athletes
Advance and the recruiting industry in general. There ARE a lot
of companies out there that promise a lot more than they actually
